Thread end mills machine internal and external threads on CNC machining centers. Compared with tapping or single‑point turning, carbide cutters offer flexibility, safer operation in blind holes and hard materials, and consistent forms.

  • Engineering‑driven customization: Geometry is tuned to material, machine, and clamping. Adjust pitch, lead, profile angle, crest/root radius, and chamfer.   • Substrate and coatings: Sub‑micron grain tungsten carbide enhances strength and edge retention. Coatings include TiAlN, AlTiN, TiSiN, and DLC for non‑ferrous work. Polished flutes aid chip evacuation. Coolant‑through is available on selected models for deeper threads.

  • Dimensional control and inspection: Runout is typically controlled to ≤3 μm with shank h6. Profile angles, crest/root radii, and pitch are held to tight limits. Inspection documents can be provided on request.

  • Use helical interpolation with a correctly sized pilot hole.

  • Prefer climb milling to improve flank finish.

  • Apply moderate radial engagement per pass.
